Designer Hao-Yang Lai’s work “Agehana Maraho” won the “Korean International Jewellery Design Competition” Honourable Mention Award.
In recent years, Korean jewellery design and metal crafts have gained traction internationally, receiving support from the Korean government to encourage jewellery designers to develop creative ideas to enhance the competitiveness of Korean jewellery design. The Korea International Jewellery Design Competition, established since 2022, is sponsored by the Korea Jewellery Design Association, and supported by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Resources, the Ministry of Enterprises and Entrepreneurship, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, public agencies and various jewellery-related associations.
